Google reviews widget for Elementor
Add your real Google reviews to an Elementor page with the built-in HTML widget and one line of code. Drag, paste, publish. No add-on plugin, and nothing that has to keep pace with the next Elementor release.
Works with Elementor free and Pro No add-on plugin About five minutes
Before you start: you need a TrustGetter account with a saved widget, which is where your embed code comes from, and a page you can open with Elementor. The HTML widget is part of Elementor's free version — only the Theme Builder route in step 4 needs Elementor Pro.
How to add Google reviews to Elementor
Five steps. The first three happen in TrustGetter, and the last two in the Elementor editor.
Connect your Google business listing
Create a free account and search for your business by name, the way a customer would find you on Google Maps. We fetch your reviews once and keep them, so your Elementor page never waits on Google to finish loading.
Choose a layout and match your design
Nine templates across four layouts — grid, list, carousel and a scrolling marquee. Set each colour by role, pick a font, and adjust corner radius, padding and text size so the widget agrees with the section you are dropping it into rather than fighting it.
Save the widget and copy the embed code
Saving publishes the widget and generates its embed code — two short lines, with your own widget id in place of the example:
Drag the HTML widget onto the page
Open the page with Edit with Elementor, type HTML into the widget search box in the left panel, and drag the HTML widget into the column where the reviews should appear. It inherits that column's width, so your existing layout keeps control of the sizing.
To place the reviews across the whole site instead of one page — every blog post, or every page footer — use Elementor Pro's Templates → Theme Builder and drop the same HTML widget into the footer or single-post template.
Paste the code and publish
Paste the embed code into the HTML Code box in the left panel, then click Publish or Update. Open the live page in another tab to confirm — the Elementor canvas does not always execute embedded scripts, so a blank space in the editor is not by itself a problem.
Check the published page, not the editor. Between Elementor's own canvas and the caching or optimisation plugin most WordPress sites run, the editor is the least reliable place to judge whether the widget works. If the live page is empty too, clear your cache and exclude trustgetter.com/widget.js from JavaScript optimisation.
Common Elementor questions
Do I need an Elementor add-on for Google reviews?
No. Elementor's own HTML widget does the whole job, so there is no add-on to install, no extra plugin to keep updated, and nothing to break when Elementor next updates. Changing the widget's design happens in TrustGetter — the code on your page never changes.
Does it work with Elementor free, or do I need Pro?
The free version is enough. The HTML widget is included in it, which is all the install needs. Elementor Pro only matters if you want the widget placed through Theme Builder — in a footer or a single-post template that applies site-wide — rather than on individual pages.
Nothing shows in the Elementor editor.
Check the published page first, since the editor canvas does not reliably run embedded scripts. If the live page is blank as well, confirm both lines of the embed code are in the HTML Code box, then clear any caching plugin and exclude the widget script from JavaScript minification.
Will it break my Elementor styling?
No. The widget renders inside its own sealed container, so your theme and Elementor's global styles cannot reach in and alter it, and its styles cannot leak out and disturb the rest of your page. A theme update will not quietly wreck how the reviews look.
Using something else?
The same widget and the same embed code work anywhere you can paste HTML. These guides give the exact menu names for each platform.
